Thanks to all who joined us in Our Eco Shop last Thursday and enjoyed all the wonderful food from Happy Kitchen - yum, yum, wish that I had them at home to cook for me all the time!
Just 16 days to go, and I don't know about you, but I still have plenty of presents to buy! Fortunately, Bourgeois Boheme is coming to the rescue with our new stock of belts and wallets so good that you may just decide to keep them for yourself. Naughty naughty, Santa would not approve!
To make things even better, you will get 10% off all BoBo branded belts, wallets and purses until the 15th of December when you use the discount code JingleBells08.
Ethical Christmas Treats Especially for You
Did you miss the special offers from BoBo and our friends last week? Not to worry, as our friends at Eco For You have asked us to extend all offers for another week! You can now use all the offers until the 15th of December. Happy Shopping!
Seasons' Deliveries
Last Posting Dates
To ensure your goodies arrive before Christmas, here are the all important dates:
- UK Standard Delivery - Thursday 18th December
- UK Next-Day Guaranteed - Monday 22nd December
- EU - Friday 12th December
- Rest of World - Wednesday 10th December
Merry Season Opening Hours
BoBo will be having a little rest (sigh) and will be back all refreshed and ready to rock and roll in 2009!
- BoBo will be closing early at 3pm on Friday 12th December for our office party party party!
- BoBo will be closed Wednesday 24th December - Thursday 1st January 2009 inclusive.
VAT Savings
Bourgeois Boheme are pleased to pass on to our EU customers (including
UK customers) the recent government initiative to reduce Value Added
Tax by 2.5% to 15%, so our prices may now look a little bit odd due to
the 2.5% change.
This has been affective since December 1, 2008. Hopefully this will mean a little more pocket money for Christmas!
Sorry, but the savings is only applicable to EU customers as non-EU customers do not have to pay any VAT.
I'm Dreaming of a Green Christmas
Vegetable Feast - better
for the environment, and just as tasty too! For great vegetarian Christmas
recipes, why not check out the Vegetarian
Society for ideas? As
tempting as it is to fill the table with as much food as possible. Only buying what you need can avoid wastage, and your boredom with eating leftovers for a week.
Locally does it - reducing your air miles couldn't be easier! You
could buy from a farmers market,
or a local green and
organic box scheme!
"Oh, you shouldn't have..."
- we all get gifts that we are never going to use. Your local charity shop would be glad of the gift, or you could
sell it on Ebay, and even turn a profit. Make sure that you buy gifts that others will want come December 26th too, so maybe rethink those reindeer antlers...
Bringing the outdoors in - instead of buying Christmas
decorations fresh from China, why not use holly branches or mistletoe?
Much more traditional and compostable too. Santa would be proud.
Easy on the lights - make sure all your lights are LED lights this Christmas. These
last longer and use 80 - 90% less energy. And turn those lights off
when there's no one around to enjoy them!
Wrap it up - you don't
need to buy glossy wrapping paper - face it, that's not the part of the present
that anyone's interested in. Why not reuse newspaper or magazine pages?
Size matters - They say that a
watch pot never boils, and that goes double when it's fill, so only boil the
amount of water you need, and use the right size pan for the cooker ring too to avoid wasting energy.
Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year Everyone!
We'll see you in the New Year for lots more stunning shoes and ethical news! |
